It’s opening night, and master playwright William Shakespeare, theatrical diva Sarah Bernhardt and the indelible intellectual Constantine Stanislavsky transport you back in time as we explore the beginnings of Greek theatre, Aristotle’s Poetics, the fine art of Kabuki, the history of mime, and speculation on the real author of Shakespeare’s plays. Along the way, the bumbling Shakespeare misquotes himself, Sarah Bernhardt can’t get over the sound of thunderous applause and Stanislavsky gets blown out of a cannon when someone says the name of “the Scottish play” in the theatre! This interactive farce will keep you in stitches at every turn on a rollicking ride!

Cast: 5 Actors - comfortable with guided improvisation and audience interaction.

William Shakespeare (Bill): A goofball who has penned the world’s most famous plays. Fun-loving and outgoing, Bill seems to act more like a child than the genius who penned some of the world’s greatest works of theatrical art.

Constantine Stanislavsky (Stan): The Russian scholar. Bill's great friend. He attempts to wrangle Bill’s childish attitude and Sarah’s ego in order to continue the play.

Sarah Bernhardt (Sarah): The greatest actress the stage has ever known, for the stage can barely contain her talent, her love for applause and her ego.

Ensemble Member: (plays Stage Manager, House Manager, Playwright, Producer, Sound Designer, Light Designer, Set Designer, Costume Designer, Director, Stage Hand) This performer plays multiple roles.

Actor/Crew Member: This role does not have spoken lines and will help in scene with many technical elements including use of a spotlight, some foley, and some comedic moments. This person will also participate in pre and post show responsibilities.
