In this adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic novel, three actors tell the story of Victor Frankenstein's blind ambition to solve the mysteries of life and death as well as The Monster's desire for love and understanding. Caught between these destructive forces is the strong-willed, yet doomed, Elizabeth.  

We are committed to diverse, inclusive casting. For every production, please submit without regard to disability, race, age, weight, color, national origin, ethnic origin, gender identity, or any other basis. Any specifics integral to the plot or required by the publisher will be listed in the individual announcement.  

(Audition information is subject to change)  

Performer 1 | Victor/Old Man | Male-Presenting | Mid 20s-Late 30s | Eccentric, Scientific, Bold, Proud, Determined, Broken. This performer will also double as the Blind Old Man in Act 2.  

Performer 2 | Captain Walton/Elizabeth/Daughter | Female-Presenting | Early 20s-Late 30s | Tenacious, Powerful, Strong, Caring, Cynical, Wholesome, Real. This performer will double as Captain Walton (The Seafaring captain whom Victor tells the creation story) and Elizabeth (Victor’s partner and love) as well as the Old Man’s Daughter in Act 2.  

Performer 3 | Father/Monster | Male-Presenting | Mid 30s-Late 40s | New, Confused, Fresh, Blank, Struggle, Angry, Exile, Justice. This performer will double as Father (Victor’s Father) and the Monster (Victor’s Creation). This role will require physical action/storytelling and possible makeup prosthetics for stage. 

Auditions will be Online Saturday, July 25, 2020, with in-person Masked Callbacks (if needed) on July 26th.  

You don't need to prepare anything for the auditions.  We will provide sides from the script.
