Auditions: The Christmas Express

This production will take place in person on the 3rd Act Theatre Stage in the The Shoppes at Northpark.

Welcome to the most hopeless place in the world as Hilda and Satch argue over what time it is at the Holly Railway Station. That is, until Leo Tannenbaum drops in out of nowhere the day before Christmas Eve. Suddenly, the whole town comes alive with the Christmas spirit. Coincidence? Or is Leo doing all this? This nostalgic theatrical greeting card is full of eccentric small-town characters, wise-cracking their way to finding the true wonder of Christmas. And on the way, they make us all wish we could take a ride on The Christmas Express.

LEO TANNENBAUM: 50’s, masculine - presenting: There is pixie-like magic about him

PENELOPE BLAISEDALE: 30’s, feminine - presenting: editor of the local paper, The Holly Herald

MR. FAIRFAX:  50’s, masculine - presenting: an ominous individual

MYRNA HOBSNAGLE: 40’s, feminine - presenting: secretary at City Hall

DONNA FAY CUMMINGS: 20’s, feminine - presenting: Stubborn Newlywed

JERRY CUMMINGS: 20’s/30’s, masculine-presenting: Donn’s equally stubborn husband, who isn’t quick to catch on

DEBORAH SMITH: 30’s, feminine - presenting: Slightly Haggard
